Company Owned By Jusuf Kalla Family Wants To Work On ASN Housing Project In New Capital City
JAKARTA - Kalla Group, one of the largest business groups in Eastern Indonesia, plans to expand the property and automotive business in Kalimantan in order to support the establishment of the National Capital City (IKN).
"We will develop the property business in Kalimantan, because of course these ASN (State Civil Apparatus) need a house to move to the new national capital," said Kalla Group President Director Solihin Jusuf Kalla ahead of the Kalla Group's 70th anniversary in Makassar, quoted from Antara, Friday 4 February.
Apart from property, Kalla Group will also develop the automotive business at the age of 70, this is also a form of supporting IKN in East Kalimantan.
"We are in Sumatra to Papua but are still limited, at the age of 70 we will further develop the automotive business, including in Kalimantan later to support IKN, as well as property. So we enter there as a provider," explained Solihin.
Furthermore, Solihin explained that the Kalla Group will develop new and renewable energy (EBT) businesses with a target of providing up to 2,000 MW.
Currently, the Kalla Group has provided 600 MW of NRE energy from hydroelectric power
"Regarding our human resources, we are ready, moreover 60 percent are millennials and 85 percent are gen X, all of them are ready to fight. We are more focused on energy and automotive," he said.
