Sukabumi Residents More Obedient To Health Protocol, More Than 100 People Are Being Isolated From COVID-19

JAKARTA - The Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 in Sukabumi Regency, West Java, noted that the number of COVID-19 cases continued to increase, with more than a hundred local residents being isolated because they were confirmed positive.

"As of Thursday night, there have been 114 COVID-19 patients who have been isolated," said Public Relations of the Sukabumi Regency COVID-19 Task Force, Eneng Yulia, Thursday evening, February 3.

According to Eneng, according to data on the development of COVID-19 in Sukabumi Regency, 28 people who have been confirmed positive have increased. All patients are self-isolating in their respective homes.

It is known that of the 28 patients, some of them had a history of traveling outside the area, close contacts, or some who did not have a history of travel or close contacts.

In addition, the increase in new cases is also influenced by the number of residents who carry out COVID-19 checks for the sake of various requirements such as travel and are only known to be infected with COVID-19 after they undergo the examination.

However, on the same day, 10 patients who underwent isolation at the referral hospital were declared cured, so that of the 114 patients who underwent isolation, 81 patients were self-isolated or an increase of 28 patients, and 33 patients underwent isolation at the referral hospital or recovered/reduced by 10. patient.

Even though there was a spike in cases of residents who were confirmed positive for COVID-19, Sukabumi Regency still has the status of implementing community activity restrictions (PPKM) level 1 according to the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) Number 6 of 2022 concerning PPKM Levels 3, 2 and 1 COVID-19.

"Although the number of COVID-19 cases continues to grow, until now there have been no additional deaths and it is hoped that there will not be," he added.

Meanwhile, the total number of residents who have been confirmed positive for COVID-19 since the first case was found in Sukabumi Regency to date has reached 11,926 patients, 11,229 of them have been declared cured, 114 patients are still isolated and 583 patients have died.
