Professional and Security Division of National Police Proposes To The National Police Chief 'Expand' Authority
JAKARTA - The Professional and Security Division of National Police has proposed to the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, to increase his authority to take action against members of the Bhayangkara Corps involved in violations. "The Professional and Security Division of National Police proposes to the National Police Chief to increase his authority, not only to conduct investigations on ethical and disciplinary violations but also to enforce the law on alleged criminal acts committed by members of the National Police", said Head of the Professional and Security Division of National Police, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo to VOI, Wednesday, February 2.
Currently, the Professional and Security Division's function is limited to examining members of the National Police who are suspected of violating the rules. Both are related to ethics and crime.
However, if there is an additional authority, continued Sambo, supervision of members of the Bhayangkara Corps will be maximized.
"So that the Professional and Security Division of National Police is more optimal in preventing and supervising National Police members", he said.

In addition, Sambo also said, for members of the Police who have been found guilty of violating the rules, there will be a breeding process. They will undergo training.
"To glorify the profession for National Police members who have been decided to violate the code of ethics and discipline by the Police Professional and Security Division Rehab Section, further guidance will be carried out at the Police Mobile Brigade Corps", said Sambo.
