The Price Of 1 Kg Of Cooking Oil In East Aceh Is IDR 20 Thousand, Trader: If We Sell IDR 14 Thousand, We Loss
ACEH TIMUR - The price of bulk cooking oil at the level of traders in traditional markets in East Aceh Regency is still at IDR 20,000 per kilogram, exceeding the price set by the government of IDR 14,000.
"Currently, the price of oil has not decreased. The price of bulk cooking oil is IDR 20,000 per kilogram and the price of packaged cooking oil is IDR 22,000 per liter," said Abdullah, a trader at Idi Traditional Market, East Aceh, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, January 26.
Abdullah said that although the government had instructed the selling price to be IDR 14,000 per liter. However, his party still sells cooking oil at the previous price.
"If we sell at the price set by the government, we will lose. Because we buy it at distributors at a price of more than IDR 14,000 per kilogram. Unless the capital is cheap, we will sell oil at the set price," Abdullah said.

Meanwhile, the price of other basic commodities in the market, such as red chili, has increased from IDR 20 thousand to IDR 22 thousand per kilogram. Cayenne pepper from IDR 55 thousand decreased to IDR 52 thousand per kilogram.
"Meanwhile, the price of broiler chicken has also decreased from IDR 30,000 to IDR 27,000 per kilogram. Meanwhile, the price of broiler eggs is still stable, which is IDR 45 thousand per board," Abdullah said.
Head of the East Aceh Regency Trade, Cooperatives and SMEs Office Zulkifli said the price of cooking oil in the area was still high because traders bought from distributors with high capital.
"We have visited the market, asked the price of cooking oil, and the traders are still selling it at a price of IDR 20,000 per kilogram. So, the price of cooking oil subsidized by the government has not yet been implemented," said Zulkifli.
