Loss In Pretrial, KPK Ready To Issue SP3 Director Of PT Loco Montrado
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will issue a letter of termination of investigation (SP3) against the Director of PT Loco Montrado, Siman Bahar alias Bong Kin Phin. This issuance was carried out after the South Jakarta District Court granted his pretrial application.
Siman Bahar is a suspect in the alleged corruption case of metal anode processing cooperation with PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) Tbk. However, so far the KPK has not announced its legal status.
"Whatever the pretrial decision is, it is still testing the formal legality of the procedure. Even if there is a decision that requires us to order SP3, we will SP3," said KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Karyoto in a press conference broadcast on the Indonesian KPK YouTube, Wednesday, January 25. .
Although he stopped the investigation of Siman, Karyoto ensured that the investigation into the alleged corruption was still ongoing. Moreover, there are state officials who are suspected of being involved in this alleged riot.
"It doesn't mean that the case will end there because the other case, as the state administrator of this case, will continue as long as the state's losses are clear. It will continue to increase again," he said.
For information, the South Jakarta District Court Judge stated the Investigation Order Number: Sprin.Dik/40/DIK.00/01/08/2021 dated 19 August 2021 Jo. The Notice of Commencement of Investigation (SPDP), dated August 23, 2021, is invalid. Not only that, the warrant was declared to have no legal force.
This decision was delivered on Thursday, November 4, 2021. With this decision, Siman was freed from the entanglement of the KPK.
As previously reported, the KPK stated that it was investigating allegations of corruption related to the cooperation in land anode management between PT Antam and PT Loco Montrado that occurred in 2017. However, the KPK has not explained in detail who the suspects are and the construction of the case.
Until now, KPK investigators have continued to collect evidence by examining witnesses and conducting searches and seizures in Jakarta, Banten and West Kalimantan.
