Day 25 Of PPS: Number Of 'Repentant' Taxpayers Becomes 7,417, Assets Revealed Reach Rp 6 Trillion

JAKARTA - Until the 25th day of the Voluntary Disclosure Program (PPS) held by the government through the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance, there were additional participating taxpayers (WP).

Based on data released today, a total of 7,417 tax payers reported their assets with a total disclosed reaching Rp6.03 trillion. From them, 8,098 certificates were obtained.

In detail, Rp4.97 trillion of which is a declaration of assets residing in the country and repatriation. Then, Rp424.2 billion was channeled to state financial instruments, Rp644.7 billion was the disclosure of foreign assets.

"The amount of PPh (which goes into the state treasury is) Rp656.78 billion," said the DGT quoted today, Wednesday, January 26.

Just so you know, PPS is a tax relief program imposed by the government until June 30, 2022. Taxpayers can get a discounted income tax levy if they make a property declaration before the grace period ends.

PPS itself is known as the tax amnesty alias volume II tax amnesty which was previously held by the government in 2016. This program is a manifestation of one of the mandates in the Law on the Harmonization of Tax Regulations (UU HPP) which was ratified by the state in 2021.
