Clashes In Sorong, Police: Perpetrators Have Been Identified, But No Arrests Have Been Made
JAKARTA - The National Police stated that the perpetrators in the clash of two groups of residents in Sorong that killed 18 people had been identified. However, the police have not taken any action.
"This perpetrator is the perpetrator in this case, he has been identified but no arrests have been made, he is still being identified," said Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan to reporters, Wednesday, January 26.
Ramadhan did not specify whether the identification was related to the identity or whereabouts of the perpetrators. However, said Ramadhan, his party is still conducting in-depth identification.
"We are still investigating the perpetrators," said Ramadhan. Meanwhile, the source of the fire that burned the Doubel O karaoke is still being investigated. Investigators, he said, continue to collect evidence and clues regarding this matter.
