Emotional Edy Mulyadi Wears An Orange Vest Handcuffed And Forced Picked Up By Officers, Check The Facts!

JAKARTA - The Facebook account @hiburan caused a stir by uploading a video showing the face of Edy Mulyadi, a former PKS candidate who was reported to the police for saying that Kalimantan is a place for genies to dump children.

The narration in the video uploaded on January 23 was entitled, “VIRAL NEWS ~ because of Edy Mulyadi's dirty mouth it ended like this!!”.

At the beginning of the video, as reported by turnbackhoax, Thursday, January 26, there is a picture showing Edy Mulyadi wearing an orange shirt, the typical prisoner's shirt with handcuffs.

"IT IS OUTSTANDING TO CALL THE BIBLE GOVERNMENT OF EDY MULYADI IMMEDIATELY FORCED TO PICK UP THE APPOINTMENT," wrote the account in the video title quoted from turnbackhoax.

The original photo was published in the article entitled "Jason the Persecution of Nurse Siloam Palembang Hospital on trial" which was published on the smartizen.my.id website on Thursday, June 10, 2021. "Based on the search results, there is an image that is claimed to be an image of Edy Mulyadi who was forcibly picked up by the authorities because he said the government was barbaric and was manipulated content," wrote turnbackhoax.

The National Police took quick steps in handling the case of alleged hate speech with reported Edy Mulyadi. Where, he said Kalimantan is a place where genies throw children.

One of the quick steps was to decide to take over the handling of all reporting cases.

"The handling was withdrawn by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police," said Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan to reporters, Tuesday, January 25.

In this case, said Ramadhan, many reports were received at all Polda ranks. Thus, to speed up the handling process, it was decided to concentrate it in the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police.

In general, the National Police received three police reports (LP) related to the alleged hate speech. Two of them were received by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police and one at the Polda of East Kalimantan.

Then, there were also 16 complaints and 18 statements following Edy Mulyadi's statement. All of them were accepted by Bareskrim and Polda ranks, namely Polda North Sulawesi and West Kalimantan.

"There are three police reports, 16 complaints and 18 statements of attitude were withdrawn at the Bareskrim and handled by the Bareskrim Polri," said Ramadhan.
