Confiscated BMW Pinangki Car, AGO Has Evidence Of Cash Flow

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office confiscated a BMW SUV X5 F 214 belonging to Attorney Pinangki Sirna Malasari. The AGO suspects that the car was bought by Pinangki from the proceeds from the criminal act of arranging a fatwa from the Supreme Court (MA) from Djoko Tjandra.

"Why did the investigators confiscate the car? Because the car was bought in 2020, so there is a suspicion that the car was bought from the proceeds of crime," Hari Setiyono, Head of the Legal Information Center of the Attorney General's Office, told reporters, Wednesday, September 2.

In addition, the confiscation of the car was also based on the testimony of witnesses and suspects. Thus, investigators traced the flow of funds obtained by Pinangki.

From that search, the investigators decided to search four locations. Anatara, two apartment units, one residence and a car dealer in the area of Jalan TB Simatupang, South Jakarta.

"Investigators are tracking the whereabouts of the money allegedly obtained by the suspect, whether they were given goods, stored or otherwise. And until yesterday the investigator was successful, what we have told you to secure a BMW X5 series car that was allegedly purchased in 2020 and that is on behalf of the person concerned, "said Hari.

Previously, the Attorney General's Office seized the luxury car of Attorney Pinangki Sirna Malasari, a BMW X5 with police number F 214, Monday, August 31. The confiscation was carried out because the AGO suspected that Pinangki bought this luxury car as a result of a criminal act.

Meanwhile, Pnangki Sirna Malasari has been named a suspect by the Attorney General's Office because he is suspected of accepting bribes related to the fatwa so that Djoko Tjandra will not be executed in the Bank Bali cessie case at the Supreme Court.

The AGO suspects that Pinangki received a bribe worth 500 thousand US dollars or the equivalent of Rp7 billion from Djoko Tjandra. In this case, the Attorney General's Office has also appointed Djoko Tjandra as the bribe giver.
