Bank Mandiri Serves Financial Transactions For National Cyber And Crypto Agency
JAKARTA - PT Bank Mandiri Tbk has agreed to cooperate with the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) regarding the use of banking transaction products and services to support BSSN financial management.
The Synergy Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by the Head of the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) Lieutenant General TNI (Ret.) Hinsa Siburian and Bank Mandiri President Director Darmawan Junaidi in Jakarta, Tuesday 25 January and witnessed by Plt. Deputy for Cybersecurity and Password Operations at BSSN Brigadier General Ferdinand Mahulette, SE, Plt. Deputy for Cyber Security and Economic Passwords, BSSN, Dr. Edit Prima, M.Kom and Bank Mandiri Director of Institutional Relations Rohan Hafas.
According to Darmawan Junaidi, this synergy is a realization of Bank Mandiri's desire to be able to provide significant added value to the company's stakeholders, especially during the pandemic where physical activity is strictly limited to suppress the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Not only that, the synergy is also expected to be able to unite perceptions in supporting government programs.
"As a state-owned bank, Bank Mandiri continues to develop digital-based banking services and products so that various financial transactions can be carried out quickly, safely and transparently according to customer needs, including State Ministries and Institutions," said Darmawan.
By using Bank Mandiri's banking services, he added, BSSN employees will also be able to access consumer segment financing products to support employee needs.
"Not only in terms of financial management, this collaboration is also related to the development of information and communication technology security systems for financial transactions as well as strengthening the quality of human resources from both parties," said Darmawan.
On the other hand, Darmawan said, this collaboration is also expected to support Bank Mandiri in strengthening the security of banking transactions.
"For example, regarding electronic certificates. By cooperating with BSSN, we hope that Bank Mandiri's IT management system will improve so that it can strengthen customer and stakeholder trust in the Bank Mandiri system," he said.
As a follow-up to the collaboration, he said, Bank Mandiri would then immediately coordinate technically with work units regarding the support and financial services needed.
"We hope that Bank Mandiri as a partner can complete the support system that can support operational activities within the National Cyber Crypto Agency," concluded Darmawan.
