Trapped In Drug Cases, 4 Village Heads In Jember Fired By Regent
JEMBER - A total of 4 village heads (kades) who were involved in legal cases in Jember Regency were dishonorably dismissed by the Regent of Jember Hendy Siswanto.
The dismissal was stated in the Decree of the Regent of Jember No. 188.45/4/KTUN/1.12/2022 which was signed on January 14.
Head of the Community and Village Empowerment Service Adi Wijaya said the 4 village heads who were fired were the Head of Glundengan Village, the Head of Tamansari Village, both in the Wuluhan District. Then the Head of Wonojati Village, Jenggawah District and the Head of Tempurejo Village, Tempurejo District.
"The decree has been received by each village head. We will take one of them to the Jember Prison," he said, Monday, January 24.
Automatically the positions filled by each village head are vacant. To fill the vacant position of village head, in the near future there will be the appointment of Plh. village head.
"Where will this Plh be filled until there is an Inter-Time Alternation Pilkades (PAW) process," explained Adi Wijaya.
As is known, 4 village heads in Jember namely H. Amin, Kades of Wonojati, Heri Heriyanto, Kades of Glundengan, Sugianto, Kades of Tamansari, and Alwi, Kades of Tempurejo, were caught by the police holding a drug party.
The verdicts for the four village heads were announced at the Jember District Court on November 8, 2021. Three inactive village heads were sentenced to eight months in prison, namely the Wonojati village head, Jenggawah sub-district, the Tamansari village head and the Glundengan village head in Wuluhan district.
M. Alwi, the head of Tempurejo village, Tempurejo sub-district, was sentenced to 16 months in prison for being involved in two drug cases.
