PDIP Politicians Comment On The Election Of Luhut Panjaitan's Son-in-Law As Pangkostrad
JAKARTA - Member of Commission I DPR RI Major General TNI (Ret.) TB Hasanuddin assessed that the appointment of Major General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak as Commander of the Army Strategic Reserve Command (Pangkostrad) had gone through careful consideration.
"Of course, someone who is promoted has met the requirements, both from his track record, achievements, and experience. Therefore, the public does not need to question strange things," said TB Hasanuddin in Jakarta, Sunday, January 23.
He said the transfer and promotion of a high-ranking officer in the TNI had gone through a long process through the Council for High Ranks and Positions (Wanjakti) and became the final decision.
According to this member of the PDIP faction, the TNI institution certainly has its own mechanism regarding who is the right person to be the Kostrad Commander.

The senior PDI-P politician appealed for the matter to be handed over to the TNI leadership, who of course had carried out procedures according to applicable regulations.
"I personally congratulate high-ranking officers who get promotions. Hopefully, they are trustworthy," he was quoted as saying by Antara.
Previously, TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa transferred 328 high-ranking officers (Pati TNI), one of which was Major General TNI Pangdam IX/Udayana Major General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak as Pangkostrad.
The Head of Information Center (Kapuspen) TNI Major General TNI Prantara Santosa in his statement, in Jakarta, Saturday, said this was stated in Decree number 66/I/2022 dated January 21, 2022, concerning Dismissal from and Appointment in Position within the TNI which was signed by the TNI Commander, General TNI Andika Perkasa.
In this decree, there are 328 high-ranking TNI officers who have received the new positions, 28 of whom have been assigned to new TNI units.
