Wow, It Turns Out That The Recipients Of The Second Dose Of COVID-19 Vaccine In Indonesia Have Reached 123.78 Million People
JAKARTA - The population of Indonesia who has received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine has now reached 123,782,386 after this Saturday an additional 615,113 people underwent the second vaccination, based on data from the COVID-19 Task Force.
There was also an increase of 692,896 people who underwent the first vaccination, bringing to 180,714,550 people who had received the first dose, based on data received in Jakarta on Saturday.
With this achievement, 59.43 percent of the total target of 208,265,720 Indonesians will receive the second dose to achieve communal immunity from COVID-19 infection.
While the third vaccination for boosters became 1,362,405 people, an increase of 4,763 people compared to Friday, January 21.
The details of the achievements for health workers are that 1,962,919 people have received the second dose of vaccine, exceeding the target of 1,468,764 people set by the government.
While the elderly category of the target of 21,553,118 people has reached 9,985,471 people who have completed the vaccination program, or have received two doses of vaccine.
The category of public officers has reached 20,702,169 people who received two COVID-19 vaccines, out of a target of 17,327,167 people.
In the category of vulnerable and general people, from the target set at 141,211,181 people, 69,915,183 people have been achieved. For the age group 12-17 years, 18,359,687 people have received two doses of the vaccine, out of 26,705,490 targeted people.
Regarding the COVID-19 vaccination, Head of the National Commission for Post-Immunization Adverse Events (Komnas KIPI) Hindra Irawan Satari said serious events or illnesses after immunization were usually not caused by vaccination. "So if there is a serious incident, serious illness after immunization is usually caused not by vaccination," said the Head of Komnas KIPI Hindra in the IDAI virtual discussion.
