Announcement For Tangerang Residents, If You Need Isolation Places Immediately Contact The Health Center

JAKARTA - The Tangerang City Government, Banten, appealed to people who need an isolation place to immediately contact the local health center because the Concentrated Isolation House (RIT) health facility has now been opened.

"We have opened an RIT with a capacity of 70 beds and now there are 13 being treated. Residents who want to isolate themselves can contact the puskesmas. This service is free of charge," said Tangerang Mayor Arief R. Wismansyah in Tangerang, Friday, January 21, as reported by Antara.

The Tangerang City Government has coordinated with all hospital management and health workers in anticipation of the surge in cases of the third wave of COVID-19 transmission.

All health facilities have been prepared and alerted if there is a significant spike in cases.

"The scenario is like facing a second wave. We will maximize all health facilities," he said.

The Tangerang City Government also encourages the public to immediately carry out vaccinations, both for the first dose, second dose, and booster.

The reason is, this vaccination is able to minimize the occurrence of serious illness if exposed to COVID-19 so that the treatment can be carried out properly.

"Immediately vaccine by coming to the nearest health facility," he said.

Tangerang City Regional Secretary Herman Suwarman said there was an increase in daily cases of COVID-19, which jumped to 84 cases from the previous only around three to seven cases per day.

"Currently, the City of Tangerang is again faced with an increase in daily cases which is quite surging. The trend of increasing cases must be prevented or suppressed with a series of surveillance that must be re-alerted," he said.

The Head of the Tangerang City Health Office, Dr. Dini, said that the number of COVID-19 cases had increased over the past three days. On January 16, 2022, there were 24 positive cases, on January 17, 2022, there were 25 positive cases, on January 18, 2022, there were 45 positive cases, and on January 19, 2022, there were 84 cases in a day.

Based on data compiled until Wednesday (19/1) there were 293 active cases with six patients recovering and one person dying.
