PKS Supports Din Syamsuddin To Sue IKN Law To MK

JAKARTA - The Chairperson of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) DPP Mardani Ali Sera supports Prof. Din Syamsuddin to sue the State Capital Law (IKN) to the Constitutional Court (MK).

Moreover, he said, one of Din Syamsuddin's considerations was that the transfer of IKN during the COVID-19 pandemic did not have any urgency.

"Support morals. Please for those who want JR (Judicial Review, ed) it's a constitutional right," said Mardani, Friday, January 21.

According to Mardani, the plan to move the capital city is an unwise decision. The reason is that the government is still in high debt.

Therefore, this member of Commission II DPR of the PKS fraction welcomed Prof Din Syamsuddin's plan to propose JR to the Constitutional Court regarding the IKN Law.

"PKS has struggled to resist in the DPR," concluded Mardani.

Previously, the former General Chairperson of the Muhammadiyah Central Executive, Din Syamsuddin, felt that there was something wrong with the decision to move the capital city, especially if it was supported by the DPR, Din Syamsuddin would take concrete steps by filing a lawsuit against the IKN Law to the Constitutional Court (MK).

"We will immediately challenge the law to the Constitutional Court (MK)," he told reporters on Thursday, January 20, 2022.
