20th Day Of PPS Implementation: 6,220 Taxpayers Apply For Tax Recognition, IDR 467 Billion Enters The State Treasury

JAKARTA - The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) of the Ministry of Finance reported that until the 20th day of the implementation of the Voluntary Disclosure Program (PPS), there were 6,220 taxpayers (WP) declaring their assets that had not been reported. From this amount, 6,759 certificates were obtained from taxpayers.

"The value of net assets (declared by taxpayers) is IDR 4.19 trillion," wrote the DGT on its official website on Friday, January 21.

Furthermore, of the total value of the declaration, Rp. 3.35 trillion, including disclosure of domestic assets and repatriation funds. Then, Rp533.69 is the amount of declaration abroad. The remaining Rp301.4 billion was channeled to investment instruments in state securities (SBN).

Meanwhile, the amount that goes directly to the state treasury in the form of Income Tax (PPh) is IDR 467.97 billion at the end of this third week.

As is known, PPS is part of the implementation of the Law on Harmonization of Tax Regulations (HPP) which was passed by the government and the DPR at the end of last year.

PPS itself is valid for six months, starting from January 1, 2022 to June 30, 2022. Just so you know, PPS is actually a continuation of the tax amnesty program that was launched in 2016.
