Inaugurate 8 Kapolda, Kapolri Remind Handling COVID-19 And Pilkada Security
JAKARTA - The National Police Chief, General Idham Azis, appointed eight high-ranking officers (Pati) as new Kapolda in several regions. In addition, dozens of starches also received promotions.
The inauguration and rotation of this position are contained in the Head of Police's Telegram Letter Number ST / 2247 / VIII / KEP. / 2020 and ST / 2248 / VIII / KEP. / 2020 dated August 3, 2020.
"There were 8 regional police chiefs, Assistant Chiefs of Police and Kadiv TIK Polri around that. Then regarding the promotion of Pati Polri, there were 10 Inspectors General, 12 up to Brigadier General," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brig.
During the inauguration, the National Police Chief gave a mandate to the new Kapolda regarding the handling of COVID-19 in the regions. In addition, it also emphasized the matter of security ahead of the 2020 Regional Head Elections (Pilkada) simultaneously.
"Regarding the security of the December Pilkada is approaching. The December stages have started and the Police have prepared ranks," said Awi.
As for the several Kapolda who were appointed, Inspector General Herry Rudolf Nahak who was appointed as the Head of the East Kalimantan Police to replace Inspector General Muktiono.
Then, Inspector General Bambang Kristiyono became the Head of North Kalimantan Police. He previously served as Main Policy Analyst for the Sabhara Baharkam Police Sector.
Inspector General of RZ Panca Putra as Head of North Sulawesi Regional Police; Inspector General Merdisyam as the Head of South Sulawesi Regional Police, previously the Head of Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police.
Brigadier General Yan Southeast Sulawesi Indrajaya became the Head of Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police. Next, the Head of Central Sulawesi Regional Police was held by Brigadier General Abdul Rakhman Baso.
Furthermore, the NTT Police Chief was occupied by Inspector General Lotharia Latif, and the Gorontalo Regional Police Head was occupied by Brigadier General Akhmad Wiyagus.
