Bad News, COVID-19 Cases In Bogor Regency Soar
BOGOR - The Bogor Regency COVID-19 Handling Task Force, West Java, revealed a spike in daily cases of COVID-19 transmission.
"Today there are 42 new cases recorded. This means that the public must again increase their awareness of COVID-19", said Bogor Regent, Ade Yasin, who is also the head of the Bogor Regency COVID-19 Handling Task Force in Cibinong, Bogor, as reported by Antara on Tuesday, January 18.
According to him, the 42 new cases were dominated by people with Bogor Regency ID cards but domiciled in other areas. The case was recorded in Bogor Regency as recorded by the New All Record (NAR) system.
Based on the daily case table for the transmission of COVID-19 in Bogor Regency, the increase in cases has occurred since January 13, 2022, from four cases per day to nine cases per day, then to 12 cases per day on January 15-16, 2022.
Ade Yasin said that of all COVID-19 cases in Bogor Regency, only one was detected as the Omicron variant, which was suffered by a resident from the Dramaga District on January 6, 2022, and is now negative.
He said that currently, the Bogor Regency Government has implemented a level two Community Activity Restriction (PPKM) since January 4.
According to him, several regulations have been re-adjusted in the extension of the PPKM this time, especially regarding the regulation on the use of public facilities which are again allowed for the general public.

"Even though it has been allowed to be opened, it is still being checked and using an application to protect it. So that people will feel safer when entering public areas", said ade Yasin.
Even so, the development of COVID-19 vaccination in Bogor Regency has exceeded the target of 70 percent of the population set by the central government.
"Alhamdulillah, in general, the target has been more than 70 percent. Around 4.3 million people have been vaccinated", he said.
