2 Years Left, Sri Mulyani And Mahfud MD Gable The BLBI Task Force To Work Fast To Reach Target
JAKARTA - Starting the 2022 period, the government led by the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam), Mahfud MD, and the Minister of Finance (Menkeu), Sri Mulyani, are said to have provided a briefing to the BLBI (Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance) Task Force.
Director of Legal and Public Relations of the Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) of the Ministry of Finance, Tri Wahyuningsih Retno Mulyani, said the debriefing activity was aimed at ensuring accelerated steps for all BLBI Task Force members in carrying out their duties.
“Members of the Task Force consist of the Implementing Team, the Working Group Team, and the Secretariat Team from various elements of ministries and institutions with different tasks and functions. This debriefing activity is needed so that efforts to settle the handling of BLBI fund collection rights can be achieved by the objectives of the establishment of the BLBI Task Force", she said in a press statement today, Tuesday, January 18.
According to Tri, since the establishment of various efforts to restore state claim rights, the BLBI Task Force has carried out including summoning obligors/debtors, physical control through placing signs on property assets, as well as confiscation of collateral assets.
"The assignment period from the BLBI Task Force is quite short, namely until December 31, 2023. From the results of the work of the BLBI Task Force during 2021, there are still many Task Force targets that must be pursued", she said.

Tri added, in the remaining two years, the Task Force must move faster to be able to return the state's claim for BLBI funds worth a total of IDR 110.45 trillion.
"The BLBI Task Force will continue to make various efforts, especially by continuing to synergize between all ministries and state institutions", she said.
Apart from the Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani, and the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs, Mahfud MD, the Daily Chair of the BLBI Task Force, Rionald Silaban, was also listed as Director-General of State Assets of the Ministry of Finance.
"Strict efforts will be made by the BLBI Task Force, such as confiscation of other assets, the pursuit of companies affiliated with the obligor/debtor, blocking of shares and legal entities, as well as the possibility of criminal action against the obligor/debtor who performs the transfer of the guaranteed collateral assets in the agreement", closed Tri in her written statement.
