In Order To Restore The Economy, Sri Mulyani Mixes The IKN Development Budget To Enter The 2022 PEN Scheme
JAKARTA - Minister of Finance (Menkeu), Sri Mulyani, emphasized that the initial phase of the development budget for the State Capital (IKN) will be included in the 2022 National Economic Recovery (PEN) scheme to be part of accelerating the domestic economy.
This was stated by the Minister of Finance when holding a press conference after the ratification of the IKN Law at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta today.
"So we will design this (IKN development budget) later for 2022 because as is known in 2022 there will be a package for economic recovery (PEN) of IDR 450 trillion, which has not yet been fully specified. So later this might be included as part of the economic recovery program as well as the momentum for IKN development", she said on Tuesday, January 18.
However, the Minister of Finance ensured that the government has two top priorities in the 2022 PEN rather than IKN development which is included in this scheme.
"Of course, in economic recovery, as we did in 2020 and 201, it still consists of the Covid handler group as the most important because this is the main condition for recovering, then social assistance to the community", she said.
