GI Joe: Snake Eyes Showtimes Postponed Until 2021

JAKARTA - The film studio Paramount has shifted the release date of several of its films, including the spin-off of GI Joe: Snake Eyes to October 22, 2021. Previously, the film was scheduled to hit theaters on October 23 this year.

Reporting from Antara, Monday, August 31, this follows the unclear regulations and discourse on reopening exhibitions and cinemas in New York and Los Angeles.

Paramount has previously moved Top Gun: Maverick until July 2 next year. This leaves the studio with one theatrical release left for 2020, namely the film Coming to America 2 which is slated for release on December 18, 2020.

Meanwhile, the reboot of the Scream film is now set to release on January 14, 2022. This will see Scream compete against Warner Bros./MGM's Sesame Street film, and one of Universal's top-secret feature films.

The United States vs. Billie Holiday is also now set to debut the awards season on February 12, 2021, just before the deadline for Oscar qualification on February 28, 2021.

On President's Day and Valentine's Day weekends, Billie Holiday will be pitted against Disney / Marvel's Eternals and a yet-to-be-titled Universal romantic comedy.

Meanwhile, an adaptation of the classic Clifford the Big Red Dog children's novel will be released on November 5, 2021, having previously been scheduled to air on November 13, 2020. The only other big screen release on that date is Elvis of Warner Bros.

Paramount is also releasing its new Paranormal Activity film, which originally released on March 19, 2021, will be postponed to March 4, 2022.
