Mike Tyson Denies Reaching An Agreement Related To A Fight With Jake Paul Worth IDR 703 Billion
JAKARTA – Boxing legend Mike Tyson clarifies the news about a deal to fight with Jake Paul. He called the news untrue.
A report emerged on the evening of Monday 17 January that the two boxers had agreed to a fight worth £36 million.
However, the news was immediately dismissed by Tyson. He responded to a news thread on Twitter and said that no deal was going on with Paul.
"This is new to me. I just saw Jake in St. Barths and he never mentioned it," Tyson wrote on his social media platform in response to the news written by The Sun.
Tyson and Paul do know each other. In fact, Paul became a boxing star in Tyson's fight against Roy Jones Jr. in November 2020.
Paul is now only 25 years old. That means Tyson is 30 years older than him.
Paul fights professionally and any fight with Tyson will most likely be an exhibition fight. So, Mike versus Paul isn't going to happen.
Paul and Tyson recently spent time together on Mike's podcast, Hotboxin. At that time Paul revealed that Tyson was the greatest boxer of all time.
“When I sat down with Mike Tyson on his podcast, bro, he was so smart and thoughtful and he sat next to me for 20 minutes just passing on knowledge,” Paul said in December.
