Deadly Bus Driver, Two Passengers Died Instantly In Accident On Tangerang – Merak Toll Road KM 46,500

SERANG - Two people are reported to have died in an accident on the Tangerang Km 46,500 between Asli Prima Bus number A-7822-HC with a dump truck number B-9451-TIS, Monday, January 17 at around 20:00 western Indonesia time.

Traffic Directorate of Banten Police, Grand Commissioner Pol Budi Mulyanto explained that the Asli Prima bus driver with the initials RN overtook another vehicle from the left and did not maintain a safe distance.

"The Po Asli Prima passenger bus, driven by RN, was traveling from Tangerang to Merak and was in lane two. Arriving at the TKP (the crime scene), the bus overtook the vehicle in front of it from the left, then hit the right side of the dump truck being driven. JJ, who is running in lane one or in the slow lane," explained Budi when confirmed Tuesday, January 18, morning.

"As a result of the accident 2 passengers of the Asli Prima bus died at the scene, on behalf of RH and AM. Then 5 bus passengers were injured, on behalf of SI, DI and SO were treated at the Balaraja Hospital. Then on behalf of RD and RM is being treated at the Drajat Prawiranegara Hospital, Serang," said Budi.

Traffic Accident Investigators from the Tangerang Police, the Banten Police, have conducted an initial crime scene investigation and evacuated the victims to the hospital. The vehicle has also been seized by officers.

"Furthermore, to find out the causes of the accident, investigators will carry out a further investigation and investigation process. Investigators have also contacted and coordinated with PT Jasa Raharja, the Banten representative for guarantees for traffic accident victims," explained Budi.
