Hundreds Of Workers Demo The Copyright Act In Front Of The DPR Building, KSPI: Not Only In Jakarta, But Simultaneously In 34 Provinces

JAKARTA - Hundreds of workers from various elements again staged demonstrations against the Omnibus Law on the Job Creation Law in front of the RI House of Representatives (DPR) Central Jakarta.

This action received tight security from the police. This labor action was joined by various elements of society. Starting from farmer groups, fishermen, urban poor people to laborers.

The workers are members of four trade unions at the national level, starting from migrant workers, domestic workers, the Urban Poor Consortium, and others.

President of the Confederation of Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPI) Said Iqbal said today's demonstrations did not only take place in Jakarta, but also simultaneously in 34 other provinces.

"Not only in Jakarta. Simultaneously, actions will also be carried out in 34 provinces," Said Iqbal said in his statement, Friday, January 14.

Based on observations at the location, workers began to crowd the area in front of the DPR building since 10.30 WIB. They arrive using attributes and other props.

The demonstrators immediately gathered in front of the gates of the DPR building to give speeches to convey the aspirations of their guidance. Traffic flow in front of the DPR Building area was observed to be crowded and there was a buildup.
