KPK Holds Third Stage Of COVID-19 Vaccination For All Employees

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) held the third stage of the COVID-19 vaccination for all its employees on January 13-14, 2022 in the Hall of the KPK's Juang Merah Putih building.

"This vaccination is intended to protect employees from the risk of exposure to COVID-19 as well as to succeed in government programs in accelerating the response to this global pandemic," said KPK Secretary General Cahya H Harefa in a statement quoted by Antara, Wednesday, January 12.

Cahya said KPK employees are entities that are vulnerable to the risk of spreading COVID-19. Apart from having high job mobility, he also interacts with various parties in a fairly frequent frequency.

The KPK noted that since April 2020 the total number of employees who were confirmed positive for COVID-19 was 565 people, with details 561 recovered and four people died. In addition, a total of 24 people were confirmed positive for COVID-19 more than once.

"In addition to being intended for employees, the KPK will also vaccinate related parties and media crews who work at the KPK. In its implementation, the KPK cooperates with the Indonesian Ministry of Health, assisted by 46 vaccinators," said Cahya.

Through the vaccination, he said, the KPK hopes to protect the health and safety of all KPK personnel so that they can continue to work and provide the best work in eradicating corruption.

"Starting from the case handling process so that it can run without obstacles, the performance of prevention and anti-corruption education can continue to run according to the plans and performance targets that have been set this year," he said.

Therefore, he said the vaccination was also a form of the KPK in supporting the government's program to accelerate the response to the COVID-19 pandemic so that the Indonesian nation quickly recovered, developed, prospered and prospered.
