Experienced In Facing World Superbike Makes Mataram Hospital Ready To Become A MotoGP Referral Hospital
JAKARTA - The Regional General Hospital (RSUD) of Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara has become a referral hospital for officials and spectators at the prestigious MotoGP motorcycle racing event on March 20, 2022, at Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit, Central Lombok Regency.
"Our task in MotoGP is the same as during the World Superbike (WSBK) in November 2021, which is to become a referral hospital for officials and spectators. Meanwhile, drivers are referred to the West Nusa Tenggara Hospital," said the Managing Director of the Mataram City Regional General Hospital (RSUD). Dr. Hj. Ni Ketut Eka Nurhayati after attending a coordination meeting for MotoGP preparation with a team from the Hospitality of Indonesia Network (HIN) at the Mataram Mayor's Office in Mataram, Wednesday, January 12, quoted by Antara.
Preparing for medical services during MotoGP is relatively easy because the team that will be deployed is the team during the WSBK with around 25 personnel and has been specially trained.
"God willing, we are ready to optimize the work of the health team to make MotoGP a success. Moreover, we already have experience during WSBK," he said.
Moreover, he said, the work of the medical team during the WSBK 19-21 November 2021 was quite good, even the medical team had almost no homework (PR) to complete.
This is because all health services, both for spectators and drivers who have an accident, can be handled quickly and accurately. It was part of the initial commitment of the medical team to be a standby team.
"Therefore, Dorna Sports Fernando Arandiga appreciates the work of the medical team at WSBK. They also commend our team, who despite heavy rain and strong winds, medical officers remain in their respective places," he said.
However, continued Eka, for infrastructure there is still a lot of homework that needs to be done, especially areas outside the circuit to make it safer and more comfortable.
"Apart from all that, we are proud that WSBK can be successfully held in our area. We must be grateful for this and become motivation so that future services can be better," he said.
