Family Requests Drug Rehabilitation For Velline Chu
JAKARTA - The family of the Dangdut singer Velline Chu filed for rehabilitation for Velline and her husband, Budi Harianto for drug abuse cases.
"Application for rehabilitation is a right if he is a user, he has the right to apply for rehabilitation", said the South Jakarta Police on Wednesday, January 12.
However, there is an assessment process being carried out on Velline and Budi to the National Narcotics Agency (BNN).

Velline Chu and her husband were arrested on Saturday, January 8 at their residence in Jakasampurna, Bekasi. This arrest was initiated by a public report regarding alleged drug abuse.
When arrested, the police confiscated methamphetamine in plastic clips weighing 0.08 grams and methamphetamine in a pipette.
Velline admitted that she used drugs because she was traumatized by domestic violence by her ex-husband. Velline and Budi face a short prison term of 4 years and a maximum of 12 years. Meanwhile, Velline Chu and Budi are currently still in police custody.
