Excitement On Twitter, Employees Defend The Offerings' Destroyer In Lumajang, BNI Sekuritas Apologizes: We Are Investigating The Person
JAKARTA - A subsidiary of PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI), namely PT BNI Sekuritas, apologized for the actions of its employees who sparked a polemic related to the tweets circulating on social media Twitter. The crowd of tweets by a BNI Sekuritas employee named Hery Cahyadi with the @heryc_84 account, because he is considered to be defending the perpetrators of the offerings' destroyer in Lumajang, East Java.
BNI Sekuritas, through a tweet on Twitter, said that the company is currently investigating the employee concerned.
"Sorry for the tweets from BNI Sekuritas employees that have been circulating on Twitter lately. We are currently investigating the employee concerned," wrote the Twitter account @bnisekuritas46, quoted Wednesday, January 12.
Not only that, but BNI Sekuritas also confirmed that it would take firm action on the incident.
"Sorry for the tweets from BNI Sekuritas employees that have been circulating on Twitter lately. We are currently investigating the employee concerned. Any violation of the company's code of ethics will definitely be dealt with firmly. Hopefully, this incident will not happen again," they added.

This apology stems from the upload of a video of a man throwing and kicking an offering allegedly for the ruwatan tradition of the residents of Sumbersari, Lumajang, East Java, on Twitter on Saturday, January 8.
Yunarto Wijaya's Twitter account owner, @yunartowijaya, commented on the action that took place in Sumbersari, Lumajang. Not long after, the tweet was responded to by the owner of the Heri Cahyadi account, @heryc_84, which sparked a new polemic on Twitter.
In the screenshot, Heri Cahyadi uploaded a tweet insulting customs practicing offerings. Then, the tweet was replied to by the account owner @yunartowijaya. He revealed that the owner of the account was an employee of BNI Sekuritas.
"Crew of @bnisekuritas46 why is this statement? Are you seriously insulting the custom that still uses offerings?" write the account owner @yunartowijaya.
However, @yunartowijaya deleted the tweet because he could not bear it if employees from BNI Sekuritas were threatened with losing their jobs.
