TNI Commander Explains Changes In Task Force For Maluku-North Maluku-Prone Areas

JAKARTA - TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa said there were changes to the Task Force (Satgas) for securing vulnerable areas and securing the outer islands for the Maluku and North Maluku regions.

"The changes range from adding and dislocating personnel, adding units to placing them in operational areas at the Kodim (District Military Command, ed), Lanal (Naval Base, ed), and Airbase levels," said TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa, as quoted by Antara, Monday, January 10.

The TNI Commander also wants the main task of the Task Force for securing the outermost islands to remain unchanged and not change.

This is in accordance with what has been done by the TNI in the provinces of Papua and West Papua. The security task force for areas prone to Maluku and North Maluku is also part of the organic division.

"Army under the Kodim means becoming the new Koramil," said the TNI Commander.

For example, he continued, for example, the Commander of the Indonesian Navy's Main Base (Danlantamal) must plan a Task Force from the TNI Headquarters (Mabes) of 50 to be placed anywhere.

"So are 20 people in the airbase," he said.

General Andika Perkasa said the change in the task force required each TNI Ops Commander to prepare detailed reports to be given to the TNI Commander during a working visit to Maluku and North Maluku.

The plan to change the task force will be carried out at the District Military Command level, Naval Base and Air Base for Maluku and North Maluku regions.

"The Task Force for securing vulnerable areas and securing the outer islands of the Maluku and North Maluku regions will make changes, both at the Kodim, Lanal and Airbase levels," he said.
