Swordsman Velline Chu Arrested For Consumption Of Drugs, Here's The Reason

JAKARTA - Dangdut singer Velline Chu was arrested by the South Jakarta Metro Police for drug consumption. Arrested on Saturday, January 8, 2022, Velline was found using methamphetamine.

Not alone, Velline was arrested with her husband, Budi Haryanto. The two of them were found at the residence of Citra Grand Complex, Cluster Garden Complex, Jati Karya, Bekasi.

"The time and place where the incident was revealed, this case first started with a public report on suspicions of the two suspects suspected of consuming drugs at home," said Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan, Monday, January 10.

During the examination, Velline Chu admitted to using drugs to relieve the trauma and pain because he had experienced domestic violence (KDRT).

"Eliminate the trauma and pain because he has experienced domestic violence from his ex-husband so that it eliminates the trauma of using methamphetamine," said Zulpan.

The drug deals were ordered by Velline Chu and taken by the husband. The evidence consisted of a clip of methamphetamine weighing 0.08 grams, a glass pipette of 2.78 grams of methamphetamine, 1 glass bong, and 1 plastic bong.

Both did a urine test and tested positive for drugs. Budi and Velin Chu threatened Article 35 th. 2009 concerning Narcotics, Article 112 paragraph 1 subsidiary 127 paragraph 1 juncto, Article 132 paragraph 1, with the threat of a minimum sentence of four years and a maximum of 12 years.

"We already know the initials of the person who supplied the methamphetamine and the dealer's initials and are still being chased by the South Jakarta Metro Police's Narcotics Unit," Zulpan continued.

Velline Chu is a dangdut singer who has traveled to various regions from Pantura, Brebes, Tegal and Pekalongan. In 2013, he had shocked the public after announcing a concert in Suriname.

In recent years, Velline has been actively involved in the YouTube field with Velline Ratu Begal and Ratu Ketek.
