Minimarket Burned, Two ATM Machines At Condet Scorched
JAKARTA - Allegedly due to an electrical short circuit, a minimarket located on Condet Street, RT 08/03, Batu Ampar Village, Kramat Jati District, East Jakarta caught fire. As a result of the fire, two ATM machines were engulfed in flames.
"The fire report was received from a resident's complaint at around 05.03 western Indonesia time, we dispatched four fire engines to the location to extinguish the fire," said Head of East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-department (Gulkarmat Sub-dept.), Gatot Sulaeman when confirmed, Monday 10 January.
After burning for almost an hour, the East Jakarta Gulkarmat officers managed to tame the fire at around 05.50 western Indonesia time.
"The object that burned was an area of 200 square meters," he said.

Gatot suspected that the fire was triggered by an electrical short circuit.
"It is suspected that there was an electrical short circuit. The fire came from an ATM at the fire site," said Gatot.
The fire was successfully localized and extinguished so that it did not spread to other buildings around the fire location.
"As a result of the fire, the owner suffered a loss of around Rp30 million," he said.
