The Story Of A Woman In Bali Who Cared For 70 Spirit Dolls

BADUNG - The phenomenon of spirit dolls has become a hot topic of conversation lately. In Bali, there is Queen Athena (31), a woman from Lawang, Malang, East Java, who takes care of 70 spirit dolls.

Queen who lives in Jimbaran, Badung Regency, Bali, admitted to 'nurturing' spirit dolls since 2 years ago.

"I've been two years, if I have so far there are no special rituals, there are no special things for my spirit doll, everything is pure, we just take care of it", said Queen, Thursday, January 6.

According to her, spirit dolls are only containers for spirits through dolls. Queen, in her belief, said that the spirit that enters the doll must-have criteria for the child to die due to illness, accident, be killed, and aborted.

"We do not bind anyone's soul. So, whenever they want to go, please. The boom has actually been famous for a long time and ordinary people have had it for a long time", she continued.

For Queen personally, she takes care of spirit dolls to protect the children's spirits until reincarnation.

"So we take care of them to guide them in a better direction. In fact, we teach them to pray, pray, or according to the beliefs of these children. Because these children have faith", explained Queen speaking of her beliefs.

According to Queen, caring for a spirit doll is as natural as bathing and combing it like treating a normal doll. Spirit doll adopters name and match blood types.

"If we open adoption for other foster parents, the condition is that it is enough to provide full name, date of birth, and blood type so that it is harmonized with the spirit child", she said.

Queen in this month has released 5 spirit dolls to the person who will nurture her. Currently, Queen has 70 spirit dolls.

"This month, five children have been released for adoption", she said.
