Regarding Corruption Case, Prosecutors Search Praya Hospital, Central Lombok

PRAYA - Investigators from the Central Lombok District Attorney's Office, West Nusa Tenggara, searched the Praya Regional Hospital to look for evidence in a case of alleged corruption in the local hospital budget.

After a search was carried out in the director's room and other rooms, the prosecutor's investigators managed to collect a number of important files and documents related to the case.

The documents were then taken directly to the Central Lombok Prosecutor's Office as material for the investigation process.

"Today we conducted a search of the rooms of the director, treasurer, and Commitment Making Officer (PPK)," said Central Lombok Prosecutor's Special Unit I Gusti Putu Suda Adnyana in Praya, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, January 5.

A number of documents collected were for addition to further investigations and as material for clarification related to those related to the 2017-2020 Praya Hospital funds.

"The items brought in the form of stamps as many as 20 units, laptops, computers, receipts, and a number of other documents," he said.

The Director of the Praya Hospital, Dr. Muzakir Langkir, said that his party still respects the ongoing legal process so that the process of the alleged case is quickly resolved.

"A number of documents have been brought by the prosecutor's office, both a laptop and a number of other documents," he said.

Previously, the Central Lombok Prosecutor's Office had examined the Director of the Praya Hospital, the former Central Lombok Regent, the Deputy Regent of Central Lombok, the supervisory board of the Praya Hospital, and a number of employees of the Praya Hospital.

The Prosecutor's Office initially investigated a case of alleged corruption in the cost of blood processing at the Blood Transfusion Unit (UTD) of the Central Lombok Health Service by the Praya Hospital. On the way, the prosecutor found indications of irregularities in budget management at the Regional Public Service Agency (BLUD) Praya Regional Public Hospital (RSUD) in general.

From the results of the exposure, it was found that there were indications of state losses of IDR 750 million in 2020. The Central Lombok Prosecutor's Office raised the case from an investigation to an investigation.
