Robbers In Brayan Bridge Medan Shot By Police, Perpetrators Use The Mode Of Pretending To Be Hit By Cigarettes

MEDAN - The Medan Polrestabes team, North Sumatra, arrested two robbers who often act on an overpass in the Brayan area, Medan. One perpetrator was shot for resisting the arrest.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Medan Polrestabes Kompol M Firdaus, Tuesday, said the identities of the two perpetrators had the initials MR and IL. Both are recidivist drug cases.

"The perpetrator who was shot was MR. One other perpetrator is still being chased," he said, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, January 4.

The arrests of the two perpetrators were based on the report of the victim with the initials M who was robbed by the perpetrators on Monday, December 6.

At that time the victim and his partner were crossing the flyover and were stopped by the perpetrators. Then the perpetrator MR said he was hit by the embers of a cigarette used by the victim.

After the victim stopped, the perpetrator immediately pointed a sharp weapon and took the victim's cell phone.

"From the report, we conducted an investigation and succeeded in arresting two of the three perpetrators. One of them had to be paralyzed because he resisted when he was about to be arrested," he said.

Based on the results of the interrogation, the two perpetrators were determined to commit acts of robbery to buy drugs.

"Their mode is by pretending to be exposed to the embers of the motorists' cigarettes," he said.
