It's Not Because Of Omicron, It's The Reason Why PPKM DKI Jakarta Has Risen Again To Level 2
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta is again included as a Level 2 PPKM area. This decision is contained in the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) Number 1 of 2022 concerning PPKM (Community Activity Restrictions) Levels 3, 2, and 1 in Java-Bali.
Regarding this increase, the spokesman for the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Jodi Mahardi said that this was not due to the spread of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.
"Not because of Omicron", said Jodi when contacted by VOI, Tuesday, January 3.
Jodi said the increase in PPKM levels in Jakarta was due to a decrease in the number of case tracking. Thus, the government decided to include this area in level 2.
"Because of the decrease in tracing in Jabodetabek", he said.
Apart from Jakarta, from the available data, several agglomeration areas also show the same thing, namely Solo Raya, Malang Raya, Greater Semarang, Greater Bandung, Yogyakarta Special Region, and Bali.
