Using BOS Funds For Pleasure To Malaysia With Family, Former Principal Of SMAN 1 Batam Becomes A Suspect
BATAM - The former head of SMAN 1 Batam who now serves as Head of the Curriculum and Assessment Section of the Riau Islands Province Education Office with the initials MC, was named a suspect in the case of corruption in the BOS Fund and Committee by the Batam District Attorney.
"After a series of investigations in the previous year, Batam District Attorney's investigators named the suspect MC as a suspect in corruption in the management of the 2017-2019 SMA 1 budget," said Head of Intel's Head of the Batam Attorney General's Office, Wahyu Octavianus Sitanggang in Batam, Antara, Monday, January 3.
His party immediately detained the suspect for 20 days, from January 3, 2022, to January 22, 2022. MC was suspected of corruption in the management of BOS funds and committee funds from 2017 to 2019, while still serving as Principal (Kapsek) at SMAN 1 Batam.
"The suspect's actions were using his corruption funds, school funds to vacation in Malaysia with teachers and family," he said.

The suspect's actions, he continued, had harmed state finances worth Rp830 million. He stated that his party was still developing the case, and had examined several parties.
"There is only one suspect. How many people are being investigated, we are still keeping them, we don't want to leak out yet," he said.
On that occasion, he conveyed that his party immediately moved to uncover corruption cases at the beginning of the year, in accordance with the promise of the Head of the Batam Prosecutor's Office.
He hopes that the disclosure of the first case in 2022 will increase the spirit of the Kejari to improve its performance, prevent and prosecute corruption.
"At the beginning of the new year of 2022, we conducted a direct investigation to step on the gas," he said.
