COVID-19 Update As Of January 2: 174 New Cases, Jakarta's Highest Addition Of Cases
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. The cumulative total cases are 4,263,168 people with new cases per day reaching 174 people.
Meanwhile, the number of recovered cases today increased by 190 people, bringing the total to 4,114,689 recovered people. Meanwhile, the positive confirmed case who died increased by one person and the total was 144,097 people.
"One person has died in Maluku," according to data from the Ministry of Health, Saturday, January 1.
There is also the province with the most new cases in DKI Jakarta with 103 new cases and a total of 865,518. Followed by the Riau Islands with 24 new cases and a total of 54,290 cases. Then, West Java with 10 cases and a total of 708,880 cases.
Then, East Java with 8 cases and a total of 400,089 cases; Banten with 7 new cases and 132,850 cumulative cases; and West Papua with the addition of 4 new cases while the total cumulative cases reached 23,677.
It was also reported that there were a number of provinces that reported no additional new cases, namely West Sumatra, Riau, Jambi, Bengkulu, Lampung, Bangka Belitung, East Nusa Tenggara, Central Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan.
In addition, there are also the provinces of Southeast Sulawesi, Gorontalo, West Sulawesi, Maluku, North Maluku, and Papua.
Next, the number of specimens that have been examined per day is 201,482. Meanwhile, cumulatively it reached 63,545,184. As for the details, 31,368,206 were examined by RT-PCR, 255,942 by the TCM method, and 31,921,036 for antigen.
"For the number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 2,123 people," the data said.
Meanwhile, the weekly positivity rate for people from December 26, 2021 to January 1, 2022 is 0.14 percent. Meanwhile, the daily positivity rate for people is 0.15 percent.
Currently, the number of people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination has increased to 165,900,887 people, and the second dose of vaccination is 72,924 people with a cumulative total of 114,103,362 people.
While the third dose of vaccination was not added and the total was 1,288,890. The target for vaccination is 208,265,720 people.
