JAKARTA - The government is promoting and promoting various tourist villages in Indonesia as holiday destinations. Tourism villages are considered potential in expanding employment opportunities and revitalizing the Indonesian economy.

In early December, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, completed a visit to 50 tourist villages in Indonesia at the 2021 Indonesian Tourism Village Award (ADWI). He believes these villages will contribute to developing Indonesia in the future.

"This tourism village and creative village are job creators. So the drivers are village communities, MSMEs, and local entrepreneurship with local wisdom", said Sandiaga some time ago.

Tetebatu tourist village, East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara

This tourist village is located in the Rinjani mountain valley area. The atmosphere is cool and fun, even this place is nicknamed the Lombok version of Ubud. Visitors can take a leisurely walk around the foot of Mount Rinjani. Visitors can enjoy views of Mount Sangkareang and Mount Rinjani from the village. There, there is also a Swallow's Nest waterfall or Bat Cave which can be reached by walking for 15 minutes. There is also a Kokok Duren waterfall.

Their customs and culture have mingled with the habits of the people of Flores Island. However, the architecture of the building still has Minang elements. Minang influences can be found in the architecture of Niang Dangka, the roof of this Mbaru Niang.

Bonjeruk tourist village, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara

In this tourist village, visitors can see various old buildings with European architecture that contrasts with the rural atmosphere. This tourist village has a fertile nature and offers a variety of agro-tourism experiences, visitors can taste the fruit picked directly from the garden.
