Crowds Arrive At HI Roundabout Before Crowd Free Night
JAKARTA - Residents from various regions take pictures in the Hotel Indonesia (HI) roundabout area ahead of the 2022 New Year and before the implementation of "Crowd Free Night" (CFN) or Crowd Free Night starting at 22.00 WIB.
One resident from Bengkulu, Angga Saputra (24), who was met at the HI Roundabout, Friday night, said he had been planning New Year's Eve moments in Jakarta since a month ago.
Angga chose to book lodging in South Jakarta and take the MRT transportation mode to the HI Roundabout to take pictures at one of Jakarta's iconic places.
"I had planned for New Year's Day in Jakarta, but it turned out that there was a 'Crowd Free Night'. So take a quick photo here first, then return to the hotel before 10 pm," said Angga as quoted by Antara, Friday, December 31.
Heru Fernanda (24), came from Bekasi with two colleagues to enjoy the HI Roundabout on the night before the turn of the year. "I came here by train with friends. The plan is to take the last train from Gondangdia Station at half past 10 at night," said Heru.
Based on observations until 21.00 WIB, personnel from the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP continued to socialize the anti-crowd night through loudspeakers.
"Ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen. Please return to your respective homes if there is no urgent need. The HI Roundabout area is sterile at 22.00 WIB," said Central Jakarta Satpol PP Operations Section Head Fitrano Jayaputra.
Residents seemed to choose spots to take pictures, such as rows of Christmas tree decorations and crossroads with the background of the Selamat Datang Monument.
Polda Metro Jaya enforces crowd-free nights or CFN at 11 points in DKI Jakarta on New Year's Eve 2022.
The CFN is enforced for two days, namely December 31, 2021-1 January 2022 at 22.00-04.00 WIB and January 1-2 2022 at 22.00-04.00 WIB.
