Three Suspects In Bengkalis Road Project Case To Be Tried Soon
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has handed over evidence and three suspects in the alleged corruption case of the Bengkalis Island Ring Road construction project (multiyears) in Bengkalis Regency, Riau, to the prosecution so that it can be tried immediately.
The three suspects, namely the Project Manager of PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk or WIKA Didiet Hadianto (DH), Marketing Staff of PT WIKA Firjan Taufa (FT), and Tirtha Adhi Kazmi (TAK) as the official commitment maker (PPK).
"The prosecution team on Thursday (30/12) received the delegation of the suspect and evidence (phase II) of suspect DH and his friends from the investigation team because all the contents of the case file have been fulfilled and declared complete," said Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri in his statement. quoted by Antara, Friday, December 31.
Ali Fikri said the detention of the three suspects was switched and continued by the prosecution team for 20 days each starting from December 30, 2021 to January 18, 2022.
Suspect Didiet was detained at the KPK Rutan in the KPK Red and White building, Firjan was detained at the KPK Detention Center at the Jaya Guntur Pomdam, and Tirta was detained at the KPK Rutan Kavling C1 (KPK Anti-Corruption Education Center Building).
"Within 14 working days, the prosecutor's team is obliged to transfer the case file and indictment to the corruption court. The trial will be held at the Corruption Court at the Pekanbaru District Court," said Ali.
Previously, the KPK had detained the three of them on September 3, 2021 in the alleged corruption case of the Bengkalis Island Ring Road construction project (multiyears) in Bengkalis Regency for the 2013-2015 Fiscal Year.
For their actions, the suspects are suspected of violating Article 2 paragraph (1) or Article 3 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st KUHP.
In the construction of the case, the KPK explained that Didiet and Tirtha in the process of carrying out the work to improve the Bukit Bengkalis Ring Road played an active role in manipulating the preparation of various project documents as if they had been completed 100 percent so that the final payment disbursement could be made at the end of December 2015 at which time it had not yet been completed. carried out the first handover of work (Provisional Hand Over / PHO).
Firjan, who is one of PT WIKA's staff, also facilitated a meeting between M Nasir as PPK and PT WIKA's internal parties, including the alleged giving of a sum of money to M Nasir.
In carrying out the work, Firjan always coordinates with Didiet regarding the alleged conditioning of the implementation of the Bukit Batu-Siak Kecil Ring Road improvement project.
As a result of the actions of the suspects, the KPK suspects that it resulted in state financial losses of around Rp. 129 billion from the project value of Rp. 359 billion.
