The Governor Of NTT Welcomes The Arrival Of The New Police Chief Inspector General Setyo Budiyanto

KUPANG - East Nusa Tenggara Governor Viktor B Laiskodat welcomed the arrival of the new NTT Regional Police Chief Inspector General Setyo Budiyanto. Setyo served in NTT replacing the previous Kapolda Inspector General Lotharia Latif.

The Head of Public Relations of the NTT Polda Kombes Rishian Krisna B said the new NTT Police Chief Inspector General Setya Budiyanto had been sworn in on Wednesday, December 29.

"Arriving at El Tari Kupang Airport, the NTT Police Chief and the NTT Bhayangkari Chair were warmly welcomed by the NTT Governor Viktor Bungtilu Laiskodat by draping a traditional NTT cloth and handing over a bouquet of flowers to the NTT Police Chief by Mrs. Irwasda NTT Police," Krisna said, quoted by Antara, Thursday, December 30.

Appearing to be present at this reception were the Deputy Chief of Police of NTT, Danrem 161 WS, Danlantamal VII Kupang, Danlanud El Tari Kupang, Kabinda NTT, Head of BNN NTT and a number of other officials.

Next, the NTT Police Chief and his entourage rested for a while in the VVIP room at El Tari Kupang Airport and then headed to the hotel.

Kombes Krisna said there were several series of activities related to the change of the Regional Police Chief in NTT which were held today.

"The plan is to have a series of activities including welcoming at the entrance of the Regional Police Headquarters, followed by a Unity Report, Bhayangkari plenary meeting, certificate for the Policewoman Foster Mother, a goodbye meeting with Forkopimda," he added.

All activities continued by Kombes Krisna were carried out in a limited manner while still observing the Covid-19 prevention health protocol.

For information, Inspector General Setyo Budiyanto officially became the NTT Regional Police Chief after being appointed by the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, replacing Inspector General Lotharia Latif.

Inspector General Latif has served in NTT for about 1 year and will be placed as the Maluku Regional Police Chief.
