Metro Jaya Police Seizes 2.9 Tons Of Methamphetamine Throughout 2021
JAKARTA - The Metro Jaya Police noted that evidence for the disclosure of narcotics cases increased dramatically in 2021. The confiscated methamphetamine type of narcotics reached 2.9 tons.
"There is 2.97 tons of methamphetamine. An increase of approximately 320 percent compared to the previous year", said Metro Jaya Police Chief, Inspector General Fadil Imran, when presenting the 2021 performance results, Thursday, December 30.
In addition, evidence of 250.16 kilograms of gorilla tobacco was also recorded, 31 liters of liquid narcotics, and 802 sheets of LSD.
The evidence is the result of the disclosure of 3,387 cases out of 3,469 cases handled.
"With this disclosure saved 16,027,657 lives, up 47.2 percent from the previous year", said Inspector General Fadil.

In addition, the disclosure of cases that are no less numerous is cyber crimes. The reason is, along with the times and advances in technology, especially social media, crime is also increasingly widespread.
"There are 762 criminal acts that have been submitted to Polda Metro Jaya. Then 466 cases have been successfully revealed", said Inspector General Fadil.
