Metro Police Chief: Crime Reduction In 2021 Recorded One Percent Compared To The Previous Year

JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police Chief, Inspector General Fadil Imran, said general crimes that occurred in the jurisdiction of the Metro Jaya Regional Police will decrease in 2021. The percentage decline is recorded at one percent.

"In general, criminal acts within the jurisdiction of the Metro Jaya Police in 2021 totaled 32,400 cases. There was a 1 percent decrease from the previous year", said Inspector General Fadil at Metro Jaya Police, Thursday, December 30.

On the other hand, there is quite encouraging news. In 2021 the number of cases that were successfully revealed rose by more than 100 percent.

"An increase from 30,870 cases, the Metro Jaya Police was able to complete 102 percent. So the case arrears in the previous year can be resolved", said Fadil.

With an increase in the percentage of case settlements, it means that the Metro Jaya Police has handled all cases to the maximum.

"This means that all cases that go to Metro Jaya Police can be followed up maximally", said Fadil.

Previously, the Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran stated that 2021 would not be an easy year to go through. Because, various problems must be faced, one of which is the spread of COVID-19.

This statement was made by Fadil when he opened the presentation of the performance results for 2021 at the Metro Jaya Police, on Thursday, December 30.

"2021 is not an easy year. But it doesn't necessarily make us upset", said Fadil Imran.
