COVID-19 Update As Of December 29: 194 New Cases From Examination Of 231.780 Specimens
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 231,780 specimens were examined with the results of 194 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4.262.351 and active cases are 4.528," said Ministry of Health data, Wednesday, December 29.
Today's recovered cases increased by 270 cases, bringing the total to 4.113.742 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 10 people and the total was 144.081 people.
The province with the newest cases was in West Papua with 45 cases and a total of 23.629 cases. Followed by West Java with 36 new cases with a total of 708.817 cases. DKI Jakarta with 27 new cases and a total of 865.157 cases. Then, Riau Islands with 25 new cases and a total of 54.205 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Papua with an additional 98 recovered cases. Followed by Java, West Java, with an additional 46 recovered cases, DKI Jakarta with an additional 29 recovered cases, and the Riau Archipelago with an additional 19 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 62.726.434.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.10 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 4.498 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
To date, 158.962.242 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 112.277.788 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 1.286.928 people. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208.265.720 people.
