Colonel P Who Hit 2 Teenagers In Nagrek Still Had Time To Lie, General Andika: Article 340 May Death Sentence, But...
JAKARTA - The TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa continues to monitor the development of the collision case in Nagreg that killed two people involving 3 members of the Indonesian Army. All of them were immediately named suspects and could even be sentenced to death.
The three members of the Indonesian Army who were involved in the collision in Nagreg have different roles. They are Colonel P, Koptu DA, and Sertu SA. The three are suspected of using a car with license plate number B-300-Q which was driven by Koptu DA at the time of the collision.
The black Isuzu Panther type car belongs to Colonel P. The accident occurred on Nagreg Street in the area around the Ciaro gas station, Nagreg District, Bandung Regency, West Java, on Wednesday, December 8.
After the incident, the victims were taken by three of them and then mysteriously disappeared. December 11, the bodies of the two victims were found in the Serayu River in Central Java. After being found, the bodies of the victims were returned to their families and buried.
"Today, investigators from the Army and the TNI will name them as suspects," said Andika Perkasa at the Office of the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemenkominfo), Jakarta, Tuesday, December 28.
Andika said that during the initial examination, Colonel P was detected as continuing to lie. But investigators did not give up. Colonel P's lies were exposed after all the perpetrators were confronted.
"But we have confirmed from 2 other witnesses that it is starting to appear," continued the former Army Chief of Staff.
Colonel P is currently being held in the most sophisticated military prison belonging to the Indonesian Army. Then it is in Bogor and the DA is in Cijantung.
"We focus it but we don't unify it so we can confirm it," he said.
Andika promised that the three perpetrators would be sentenced to a maximum sentence of life in prison. Although actually Article 340 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) allows them to be sentenced to death.
Article 340 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) "Whoever deliberately and with premeditated killing of another person is sentenced to premeditated murder (moord), with the death penalty or life imprisonment or a temporary imprisonment of a maximum of twenty years".
"I continue to gather all the investigative teams and our auditors will carry out maximum demands, for life, even though Article 340 actually allows the death penalty, but we want it to last a lifetime," he said.
