"This transfer is to prevent disturbances in security and order in prisons and state detention houses," said Head of Class I Batu Jalu Prison Yuswa Panjang in a written statement from the Directorate General of Corrections quoted by Antara, Tuesday, December 28.
The four inmates who were transferred have the initials D, M, HG, and CM who were sentenced to 16 years to life in prison. The four were transferred from the Class IIB Idi Prison and the Class III Lhoknga Prison to the Class IIA Special Prison in Karanganyar.

The transfer of the four inmates was closely monitored by officers from the Regional Office (Kanwil) of the Aceh Ministry of Law and Human Rights and in collaboration with the Aceh Police Mobile Brigade.
The four inmates arrived at Wijayapura Pier, Nusakambangan, Cilacap Regency, Central Java, at around 12.45 WIB and were greeted by the Head of Class I Batu Jalu Prison Yuswa Panjang.
To ensure safety, before being transferred to the Karanganyar prison, the four first passed a physical examination and search.
