Ruwat Rawat Borobudur Will Be Held Again
MAGELANG - The cultural arts and cultural celebration of Ruwat Rawat Borobudur (RRB) will be held again in 2022 starting with a cultural gathering with the theme "Restoring Multi-Spiritual Borobudur Through Tradition".
"The pre-event for the 20th anniversary of Borobudur care, we use its activities for research and evaluation," said the initiator of RRB Sucoro in Magelang, quoted by Antara, Monday, December 27.
In this activity, the cultural initiator Brayat Panangkaran Borobudur collaborated with the Central Java Provincial Kesbangpol Office, the Borobudur Conservation Center Office, Kampoeng Semar Borobudur, and the Magelang District Communication and Information Office.
"God willing, we will hold a cultural gathering on Tuesday (28/12) at Kampoeng Semar Brongsongan Borobudur," he said.
The number of participants is limited with strict health protocols for those who attend. A number of resource persons in this workshop were cultural figures and academics including researcher/lecturer of the Indonesian Pluralism Institute Wiliem Chan, LIPI researcher Deddy Adhuri, and Sanata Dharma University lecturer Budi Sarwono.
"The number of virtual participants who have registered is more than 100, while those who attend are directly limited by strict procedures," he said.

According to Sucoro, this gathering is important considering that spirituality is the energy or individual strength associated with the world of "mysticism" or simply defined as individual power in dealing with nature, God Almighty.
The movement of life that is driven by spirituality, belief, and belief, he said, will be able to connect humans, nature, and God.
He mentioned one example of the masterpiece of the Borobudur Temple, which was built by the Syailendra dynasty in the 8th century AD.
Borobudur Temple proved to be a masterpiece, a monument to the sacred offering of mankind to God.
"The inspiration obtained through this 'practice' has manifested itself into a valuable offering of heirlooms, libraries, and poets for human civilization," he said.
He stated that Borobudur was inherited by the Buddhist Syailendra Dynasty and in general people thought that Borobudur only belonged to Buddhists. But actually, the message contained in the Borobudur Temple has universal value. It is not surprising that UNESCO designated Borobudur Temple as a World Cultural Heritage (World Heritage).
"This cultural gathering is expected to create togetherness in preserving, utilizing, and developing the cultural heritage of Borobudur by paying attention to the multi-spiritual Borobudur that surrounds it," he said.
He conveyed a series of cultural celebrations for RRB 2022 based on educative and attractive values ranging from field schools to cross-generational cultural performances. Hundreds of dancers and gamelan musicians from the slopes of Mount Merapi, Menoreh, Andong, and Sumbing were involved in this activity.
