Results Of The Public Satisfaction And Trust Survey, TNI Is Number One, Followed By The New Police KPK

JAKARTA - A total of 67.8 percent of the public are satisfied with the performance of the National Police based on the results of a collaborative survey of Politica Research and Consulting (PRC) and Indonesian Political Parameters (PPI) released on Monday, December 27.

In the survey, the National Police ranks second after the TNI which has a public satisfaction level of 75.4 percent, then in the third position is the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) at 60.4 percent.

"The TNI has always been given the highest trust by the public. However, here what is different is the Police, which can precede its rank compared to the KPK," said PRC Executive Recruit Rio Prayogo in a written statement received in Jakarta.

Based on the survey results, the National Police can outperform other law enforcement and judicial institutions, such as the Supreme Court with 51.9 percent confidence, the Constitutional Court at 51.9 percent, the Attorney General's Office at 50.4 percent, and the Regional Representatives Council (DPD) 47 .7 percent and the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) is at 47.4 percent, while the DPR is at 44.1 percent.

This survey was conducted from 12 November to 4 December 2021 involving 1,600 respondents aged at least 17 years spread proportionally in 34 provinces who were interviewed face to face. Sampling in this study used a multistage random sampling method.

Previously, the results of the Charta Politica Indonesia survey released a survey on the level of trust in high state institutions. As a result, trust in the president is the highest, followed by the TNI and Polri.

This survey was conducted during 29 November-6 December 2021. A total of 1,200 respondents aged 17 years and over or met the election requirements. This survey was conducted using face-to-face interviews and the margin of error was approximately 2.83 percent at the 95 percent confidence level.

Executive Director of Charta Politica Indonesia Yunarto Wijaya said the highest trust was in President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), followed by the TNI in second place.

"The highest number one is in the President, so if you want to add up 77.8 percent, about 74.6 percent of the second level of confidence, this is always an overtaking race between the President and the TNI after the reformation, the TNI at the second level is 76.3 percent," Yunarto said in a virtual survey release, Monday (20/12).

The third position is the Police institution. Yunarto said the fourth position was trust in the KPK.

"The third is the National Police with a figure of 66.8 percent. And then followed, somewhat competing with the KPK, but this is a pattern that I think is quite interesting," he said. This was reported by Antara.
