The head of BPOM Kendari, Yoseph Nahak Klau, said that from the results of monitoring in the market throughout 2021, 3,801 pieces were found that did not have a distribution permit, out of 277 items.
"Medicinal products that do not meet the provisions are 1,293 pcs out of 93 items, and 251 pcs of traditional medicines out of 16 items of traditional medicine that contain dangerous chemicals," he said in Kendari, Antara, Monday, December 27.
Products that do not meet the provisions (TMK) are dominated by cosmetics, followed by medicines and traditional medicines that contain harmful chemicals.
He conveyed, of the 58 facilities that have carried out market control actions for medicinal and food products, only 16 facilities met the provisions or 27.59 percent, and 42 facilities did not meet the provisions or 72.41 percent.
In addition, he conveyed the intensification of supervision carried out from December 1-21 2021 with a total of 39 facilities. 16 of them are distributors and 23 are retail.
