Medan Police Reveals Circulation Of 13 Kg Of Methamphetamine International Network, 4 Tanjungbalai Residents Arrested
MEDAN - Medan Police revealed the distribution of methamphetamine and ecstasy from the Indonesia-Malaysia network. From the disclosure, 4 people were arrested.
Medan Police Chief Kombes Riko Sunarko when describing the drug case, mentioned the initials of 4 residents of Tanjungbalai, North Sumatra, who were arrested, namely SAS (34), PS (27), S (48), and KA (42)
In acting, the four actors have different roles. The perpetrators of SAS are the controllers of narcotics circulation and PS as a place to store crystal methamphetamine.
Then, S and KA are the captains of ships that pick up narcotics from Malaysia in the middle of the sea.
Kombes Riko explained that the disclosure of the case began when the police arrested the SAS perpetrators on Jalan Adam Malik, District of West Medan. From his hands, the police confiscated 9 grams of crystal methamphetamine.
"The SAS suspect has been monitored by members for a long time. From the results of the interrogation, the SAS suspect is a narcotics controller in Tanjung Balai City", said Kombes Riko, Monday, December 27.
Based on information from SAS, the team then took him to a hotel in Asahan Regency. On December 24, the police asked SAS to contact their network, namely the perpetrators of PS, which is his narcotics storage warehouse, to come to the hotel.
"The suspect PS arrived at the hotel with 1 backpack containing 13 packs of crystal methamphetamine weighing about 13 kg and 2 packs of ecstasy pills with a total of 10 thousand pills. The officers immediately arrested PS", he said.
"When he was arrested, the evidence was still wrapped in plastic shipping by Pos Malaysia", he continued.

Furthermore, the police found that there was communication between SAS and the perpetrators of S and KA about the shipment of methamphetamine and ecstasy from Malaysia.
"Then the SAS perpetrators were asked to contact KA and S to come. At 12.00, both of them came and were immediately arrested", he said.
For his actions, the four perpetrators will be charged with Article 114 paragraph 2 subsidiary Article 112 paragraph 2 Jo 132 of Law Number 35/2009 concerning Narcotics.
Meanwhile, the SAS suspect said he earned IDR 20 million per kilo from selling the crystal methamphetamine.
